In the tradition of Langhe the “masche” (witches) were often women with a lonely existence living in remote places, who stoked rumors until they became evil and dangerous witches in popular belief.

The dinner with “masca” is an entertainment created to enjoy a nice play: in the midpoint between history and myth, it’s the ideal combination with a dinner in the Langhe.

During the whole dinner, the “masca” will make some surprise visits among the tablemates: she will whisper mysterious phrases, deliver some herbs, appear and disappear in silence and pronounce obscure formulas. The “masca” narrates her own story, speaks of the book of control and of her wisdom in the herbs field and recalls legendary stories of Langhe.
