Sale San Giovanni castle

Castello di Sale San Giovanni

Castello di Sale San Giovanni

History

The castle of the marquis Incisa di Camerana was built during the XIII century and renewed in the XVI century. You can find it in the village Sale San Giovanni.

Today it is not simple to reckon its medieval traits, because the castle has been frequently renewed. For example the ogive arch at the main entrance has been modified during different periods.

A monumental stair leads you to the “Salone degli Alerami”, which is decorated with XIX century paintings and frescos.

Today the castle of Sale San Giovanni is a private residence.

The description of the castle of Sale San Giovanni is in collaboration with www.langamedievale.it.
